If you love to golf Manson is a great place to stay while you play the courses in the general area. Golfing in North Central Washington is excellent during the spring, summer, and fall.

There are four courses in or near the Chelan Valley. (Chelan Municipal Golf Course, Bear Mountain Ranch Golf Course, Alta Lake Golf Course, and Desert Canyon Golf Course.) During the summer months you must call several days in advance to reserve a tee time. Some of the courses have "dress codes" so check ahead to see if you can wear jeans or a t-shirt. In the summer it can be sunny and hot on the golf course so be sure you have a good hat, sun-screen, and plenty of liquids. If you like to golf and will be visiting for at least a week try to play at least two of these courses.

The four courses mentioned above are all within a 40 minute drive from Manson. If you are willing to drive a little further, the number of courses expands significantly.
